Rhin-O-Tuff HD7100 Heavy Duty Punch

Welcome to MyBinding How-To videos. This video is easy die pin removal for the HD7100 punch die systems. Although there are numerous dies created for different pitch patterns for the HD7100, removal of pins is quite easy on all of them. Just below the shield will be the holder of the pins. Push it down on the spring-loader device and remove whatever pins you need. Many of the dies will have markings on the die itself as to what size paper you're working with. This is very helpful for getting the right pins out for the right size paper. Replace the shield so it locks shut and you're all set. Different die pins will come in different shapes; no matter, they all are removed in the same way. And when replacing the shield, be sure to get it all the way in there because it's what holds in the dies from falling out accidentally. Some dies have magnetic shields that hold it into place. Simply find the groove, remove it, and remove your pins. There it is, it's just that easy to remove the pins from your dies. First unlock both levers on either side. Firmly pull on the old die on the right-hand side. Slide it all the way out of the machine. There are many dies to choose from; once you've selected yours, take the smaller end, face it toward the back, and slide it into the slot on the right-hand side. The HD7100 and all the dies are rather heavy, so use them firmly and carefully, and lock down the lever on both sides. If this is a new die, the first clamp down may be rather difficult, so push hard.

Welcome to MyBinding video. Let's watch in action the Rhin-O-Tuff HD7100, a heavy duty 14-inch interchangeable die modular binding punch. The HD7100 can do it all and can do it fast. Inside the front tray is both a foot pedal, power cord, as well as lubricating oil. Once you've selected the punch die that you need, release the lock levers on either side of the machine and slide it right into the side. There's a die for practically every kind of binding system and the HD7100 can handle them all. Slide the entire die all the way in and lock both sides. Using scrap paper for your first punch, place it into the machine and push down on the pedal, either with foot or by hand. If there's off-center or half punches, adjust the side margin control to fit your paper; then all punches will be consistent throughout your whole project. If everything's set the way you need it, start with the covers, and punch through all of your project in one sitting. With the HD7100, you can punch through an entire ream of paper in about a minute.
