Best stapler I've had. Review by Bluesmanlawyer

I'm a lawyer, and frequently need to staple documents in the 15-35 page range. Larger than that, it gets bound or the heavy-duty stapler. But as a desk stapler, I needed this.
Pros:
Staples 40 pages without a problem.
Staples flat, so no corner staple mountain in my binders.
Low effort, and solid outcome, whether on my desk or in my grip.
Cons:
Doesn't seem to hold a full row of staples.
**Make sure you use Optimum staples, not regular ones, as the corners and cut-angles are different.

Wore it out! Review by DaMoldBrok

I bought it about 2 years ago, needing a stapler that could handle more than 2 pieces of paper, rigors of a road warrior! Bought it off the shelf, not knowing any reviews. It has handled the torture famously! Dropped, bounced, survived baggage handlers, a few standard staples. One or two not knowing to just push and not SLAM! It's seen it all, and kept on going.
It's gotten to the point that is pushing the staples in at the bottom of the stroke and having to push harder, I guess the 'gears' are wearing out. It's gone through a lot of staples, refill most every other day.
I will retire it to a leisurely home life, with little use. Heading to the store to find it's replacement today.

Swingline is definitely the king of the stapler world and they're always coming up with innovative products. A case in point is the Optima 40, a stapler that's easy to use and has an unbeatable stapling capacity. It's definitely one of the best desk staplers around. • The Optima 40 has an excellent stapling capacity. It has the ability to staple up to 40 sheets of paper which is about 20 sheets more than other desk staplers. You'll be able to fasten both short and long documents which makes this device really helpful.

  • One thing that really makes the Optima 40 stand out is that it requires less effort to use than other devices in its class. The fasteners you need to use with this device are Swingline's Optima Premium staples. You can expect jam-free performance when you use these fasteners which can help you save time and fasten your documents without incident.

  • This is an incredibly durable stapler because it contains metal parts. You'll be able to use it for years even if you use it everyday. It doesn't get much better than that.

  • The Optima 40 is one of the most modern-looking staplers available. It's got a great design and its silver and orange color scheme make it very eye-catching.

  • You can expect the Optima 40 to give you great results all the time because it comes with a 100% performance guarantee. It's also backed by a limited lifetime warranty so you can have it fixed or replaced if it gives you any problems.
