Tamerica Eco-49 Coil Binding Machine Review
If you’re in the market for a brand new coil binding machine, you’ll be glad to know that there’s a bunch of great new products on the market from Tamerica. One of them is the Eco-49, one of the better coil binding machines you’re going to come across. Here’s an in-depth look at this product so you can decide it will fit your document finishing needs.
- This machine has an open punching throat so you’ll be able to work with paper of varying sizes. It can even handle A4 paper which will be helpful if your documents will be heading over to Europe when you’re done with them.
- The Eco-49 is compatible with coils that are up to 2” thick. This means you’ll be able to create documents that contain a whopping 450 pages. Coils come in a lot of great colors including pastel and neon hues, so you’ll be able to make your documents look great.
- If there’s one thing about the Eco-49 that could be improved, it would be its punching capacity. This device can only punch up to 12 sheets at a time which is going to be really inconvenient when you’re producing long documents. So perhaps you should keep some pre-punched paper on hand for larger jobs.
- When you use this device, you’ll be able to adjust the side margins. This ensures your pages will be centered before they’re punched. This will help you save time and you won’t have to get rid of paper that wasn’t punched properly.
- The Eco-40 is surprisingly compact. Its approximate measurements are 16” (width) x 11” (depth) x 7” (height) so it’s a good choice for a variety of workspaces, even those that are cramped. This device isn’t that heavy either – it weighs just 13 pounds.
- This device’s punching handle is on the right side. It would be better if the punch was D-shaped so everyone whether they’re right- or left-handed.
- Like a lot of Tamerica’s other new machines, the Eco-49 is very durable and has been fashioned out of metal parts. You’ll be able to use this machine for years and be consistently pleased by its performance. It comes with a one-year warranty so you’re covered just on the off-chance that you end up with a dud.
As you can see, there are a lot of great things about the Tamerica Eco-49 Coil Binding Machine, as well as things that could be improved. You can use this device to bind documents of many different sizes and it’s compatible with all of the coils available today. It’s great that you can bind documents that contain over 400 pages although it would be nice if the punching capacity was a little bit higher. (If you’re working with thick books, it will definitely take you a while to punch all of the pages for it since you can only process 12 sheets at a time.) Nonetheless, the Eco-49 deserves to be checked out if you think it will be right for you.
