This is the X-Acto Ranger 55 Manual Pencil Sharpener!
First off, you can adjust for different pencil sizes by pushing on the front tab and rotating the panel.
One hole is mark for the standard size pencil.
It’s quite the workhorse of a sharpener! It only takes about 3 or 4 turns to fully sharpen your pencil! If I had it on a sturdier surface, the handle would also turn much easier.
Pull the top off and slip out the shavings receptacle. Empty in the trash and bring it back.

To demonstrate setting it up, I’ll be using a piece of cardboard, it’s not a perfect example, but it should do!
First place the sharpener on your surface without the receptacle.
Mark the two holes on the inside with a pencil. With those markings exposed, drill the two holes into your surface, then place the sharpener back over.
Now you can screw it into place with the provided screws! Place you catch tray back on and you’re ready for sharpening!
