Plastic screw posts are an economical alternative to binding a project together with traditional aluminum screw posts. By choosing to bind your project with screw posts, you are given the freedom to edit your document as you please. Using screw posts you can make or edit portfolios, scrap books, photo albums, or any application where loose sheets need to be kept together. Also known as Chicago Screws or Chicago Screw Posts, they consist of two parts - a screw and a post. These 1" black plastic screw posts can be tightened and secured by simply snapping together since the barrels are self-tapping and are not pre-threaded. When tightened 100%, the 1" screw post will accommodate a 1" thick book, or slightly larger if not tightened all the way. Keep in mind that the total length of a post with the screw installed is approximately 1/8" longer than the length that is listed.

The heads of the posts and the screws are 3/8" in diameter to ensure a good fit with 5/16" holes.
