Formax FD 282 Programmable Tabbing System
The Formax FD 282 Programmable Edge Tabbing System applies tabs to mail pieces in a variety of positions in a single pass. It can simultaneously tab opposite sides of a mail piece or the top and side, maximizing productivity and eliminating the need to feed pieces multiple times. The FD 282 features two tabbing heads: one fixed-position side tabber and the other with flexibility to switch from side tabbing to leading-edge tabbing. The centralized control panel is easy to use, with an LCD digital display, lifetime and job-resettable counters, and the ability to program up to four jobs in memory with different media sizes, tabs, and tabbing positions.Various tab stocks can be used, including translucent and paper, in sizes up to one and a half inches in diameter. The FD 282 holds rolls up to nine inches in diameter and includes a built-in waste take-up spool, which helps reduce downtime.
The tabbing system is available in three configurations:
The FD 282 stand-alone tabber can be used in line with a variety of feeders and output devices. It can process up to 25,000 pieces per hour and accommodate media sizes up to 11 inches wide and up to 1/4 inch thick.
The medium-volume FD 282 SF includes the FD 282-05 synchronized feeder. The feeder is interlocked with the tabber for maximum feeding control.
And, the high-volume FD 282 HF includes the FD 282-10 heavy-duty friction feeder featuring adjustable feed belts and sheet separators for superior flexibility and feeding accuracy.
In any configuration, the dependable and rugged FD 282 Programmable Edge Tabbing System has the capacity to make mailings compliant with very little effort.
