ProductDescription

Our high quality laminating pouches help to improve the value of all printed materials. They enhance colors by turning dull prints into bright lustrous colors, help to prolong the life of printed materials and preserves them and protect them from outside elements. All of our pouches include one carrier per box. These pouches have superb clarity and offer exceptional value for reasonable prices.

High Quality Laminating Pouches — Our laminating pouches are some of the best on the market. They deliver the same quality thickness you would get if you were using a professional lamination roll. Each pouch is made out of two sheets of laminate, pre-sealed on one end. That means our 10 mil pouches, include a sheet of that thickness on either side, resulting in a total pouch thickness of double that. Some manufacturers advertise 10 mil but only deliver 5 mil per sheet resulting in a lower quality lamination than if you had used 10 mil roll lamination. It is important to us that our pouches utilize the full thickness that professionals and hobbyists alike expect and rely on for durability and clarity.

Adhesive to Laminate Construction — Our laminating pouches are made with a precise combination of premium laminate and adhesive. Below is the breakdown of the laminate-to-adhesive ratios for each side of our laminating pouches.

  • 10 mil pouch: 6 mil laminate + 4 mil adhesive per side
  • 7 mil pouch: 4 mil laminate + 3 mil adhesive per side
  • 5 mil pouch:  3 mil laminate + 2 mil adhesive per side
  • 3 mil pouch: 1.5 mil laminate + 1.5 mil adhesive per side

Photo Card Size Laminating Pouches Overview

Transcript : Welcome to MyBinding video. Say hello to photo card size laminating pouches. As the name suggests, they are for your standard size personal pictures and post cards and they come in the thickness of 3 to 10 mil. Each pack comes with a stack of pouches and the carrier. To laminate, open pouch up and place your photo in. Now align for correct margins. Then place the pouch into the carrier. Using the carrier ensures that no adhesive from the pouch will get on to your machine. Then place your carrier with your project into the laminator. When it's done, carefully remove the pouch. Give it some time ...

Questions & Answers

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately we are not able to guarantee which side the pouches are sealed on. The MyBinding branded pouches come from multiple manufactures. Typically most pouches have the sealed end on the short end but some manufacturers seal along the long end. As stock changes the next batch may have the seal on the other side. If you give us a call at 1-800-944-4573 we can check the pouches that are currently on hand to verify which side the pouches are sealed on. We would be able to punch the slot on any of the sides.

It would depend on the laminator. Some laminators only laminate to a certain heat. You would need to check the specs of your laminator to see the thickness it will allow. Most smaller laminators will only heat up to a 5 mil pouch.

Good question! So when you laminate sheets, there should be an 1/8 of inch around the edges. If you laminate something with the intention of cutting, you can lose the integrity of the document because you have exposed edges. We suggest if laminating smaller items, you use the appropriate sizes so you have seems all the way around your document.
