BooXTer systems use linear stapling to secure the assembled pages and end sheets near the spine. The end sheets contain a cushioned area that receives the staples and helps prevent them from pressing through the finished cover. After stapling, the release liners are removed so the end sheets can attach the book block to the inside of the hardcover. This creates a clean interior and allows the spine area to remain flexible. The pages must be gathered, squared, and aligned before stapling because uneven sheets can affect the finished edges. Confirm that the chosen machine supports the full format and thickness. Assemble one complete sample using the actual printed materials before producing a larger run. This allows alignment, stapling position, cover fit, and opening behavior to be checked before more supplies are used.

Maintain compatible end sheets, staple cassettes or staples, binding stripes when required, suitable cases, and any printable cover materials used regularly.
