When your project is all punched and ready to bind, binding with spiral coil can sometimes be very tedious. The Onyx HD4170 makes it much easier. Just select your riser on the top, slide your project in, and see exactly what size of coil you need. And once you begun inserting the coil on the end, turn on the machine, and let the electronic roller do the rest. It guides the coil right down the spine in seconds. The oversized roller can handle the largest of sizes. And with this thumb knob on the side, adjusting between coil sizes is simple. And finally, the Onyx HD4170 comes with a pair of coil crimping pliers. In this way, you can finish off all your projects perfectly. Just be sure to keep the red dot facing up as you crimp right on the end of your project. The pliers cut the wire and bend the end so it doesn’t come apart. HD7140 is a perfect standalone unit but it can also sit or be fastened to the top of any HD or OD vertical punch. There you have it. You’re on your way to binding a great many books. Yes, you can absolutely punch through 10MIL Poly or synthetic paper, however you would not be able to punch through as many sheets at one time as you would #20 paper.
