The smallest size can hold up to 30 pages and the largest can hold up to 444. A great benefit to spiral coil is that the pages lay flat. There are also custom lengths up to 36 inches. With the extra length on each end, you finish off your book with special wire cutting crimpers. You should be able to use the 18" Spiral Binding Coils with the Rhin-O-Tuff CB3000, however I would add that the crimp capacity is 6mm to 50mm diameter coils.
Thank you for your question. To bind a 17" side of a document you would need a machine that has a open throat and a contentious punching guide. The Akiles line of Coilmacs are the only ones that have both of those features.
