Sintra is a brand name for expanded, closed-cell polyvinyl chloride (PVC) board manufactured in a homogenous sheet with a low-gloss satin finish. It was developed by 3A Composites and has become the industry standard term for premium PVC foam board, in the same way "Kleenex" is often used generically for tissue.
