This 5:1 pitch color coil is designed for use with your 5:1 pitch coil punch for a special, tightly-wound coil binding. Available in 45 different colors, these 5:1 spirals provide a similar look and feel that you get with the more common 4:1 pitch coils. The primary difference is 5:1 pitch coil is designed for a hole pattern with five holes per inch (5:1). The tighter hole pattern offers a more elegant bind for your documents. Sold in quantites of 100, 5:1 pitch coils are available in sizes from 6mm up to 20mm in diameter (about 1/4" to about 3/4"). See below for a list of sizes and approximate capacities.

There are also custom lengths up to 36 inches. With the extra length on each end, you finish off your book with special wire cutting crimpers. Unfortunately, the coil bound books that you find in stores, is going to have a different pitch, that you would not be able to replicate, as they use proprietary punching patterns and pitches.

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately the largest diameter that is available for the 5:1 spiral coil is the 20mm diameter which will only hold up to approx 170 sheets of 20# paper.
