So there’s the die that you have and it’s used for cutting those tabs and calendars and things like that. Well, you need to remove the old die before you can use that one, so unscrew both sides and be very careful. It’s sharp. And this is where the half moon die depth guide comes into play. If the small blue 45 degree angle blocks are still there, you’re going to need to remove both of them. And just behind them will sit the die depth guides. There are two pieces to them, a left and a right side and they’re installed separately. There’s a small screw on either side of the punch head. Remove both of these and this is where you’re going to set the guide. It slides right in here on the 45 degree angle, the dimples would fall in and the holes will line up. Use the same screws and the same tool to tighten both sides down completely. And now you have a completely straight backdrop with which to do your punches. Inside the “Tools Box” drawer, you’ll find a #4 metric allen wrench to loosen the two screws holding the plastic 45 degree angles to the base of the machine. With the same allen wrench, remove the two round head bolts directly behind where the 45 degree angles were. Take one guide and fit it into the same holes that the 45 degree angle used, and replace the round head bolt to secure it. Repeat for the other side and you’re ready to go.
