It has a patented locking rail mechanism and a premium carbide blade that ensures a clean, accurate cut every time. It works great on paper, cardstocks, laminates, photos and can handle trimming up to 36 sheets of 20-pound paper at a single go. You may need to run the blade over a few times to get through that much but it seems to cut accurate and straight each time. With its consistent precision and the measuring tools on the face of the machine, this would be an ideal trimmer for photographers, crafters and the like.
