The area can still receive concentrated stress, especially when the card is pulled, twisted, or attached to a heavy item. Choose a pouch thickness that suits the expected handling and avoid using a clip or ring that presses sharply against the slot edge. Allow the finished card to cool flat before attaching it. Inspect the seal around the slot and discard pieces with bubbles, incomplete bonding, or visible separation. For demanding use, test several finished samples under normal working conditions before producing the entire order.

The laminator must accept the chosen pouch thickness and provide stable heat and pressure across small card-sized materials. Adjustable temperature or thickness settings are helpful when several pouch weights are used. A reverse function can assist if a pouch begins to feed incorrectly, although it should not replace careful insertion. Suitable pouch laminators should be evaluated by maximum pouch thickness, throat width, warm-up needs, and intended workload. Feed the sealed edge first unless the equipment instructions specify otherwise. Keep the slot area flat during feeding and allow the finished card to cool before flexing or attaching hardware.
