A breakaway connector releases when the lanyard is pulled with enough force, reducing the risk of it remaining caught on equipment, furniture, doors, or other objects. This feature may be important in active workplaces, manufacturing areas, healthcare settings, events, or environments with specific safety requirements. Breakaway designs differ in connector position and reusability, so confirm how the lanyard separates and reconnects.
