Make sure the printed sheet is clean and completely dry before positioning the foil. Place the reactive side against the toner and keep it flat while it enters the machine. When the foil does not transfer, adjust only one factor at a time, such as temperature or feed direction. Repeatedly raising the heat without identifying the cause can curl paper, damage coatings, or create unwanted foil marks outside the intended design.

Keep foil rolls in their original packaging or a clean protective sleeve, away from dust, moisture, direct sunlight, and high temperatures. Store rolls horizontally or in a supported holder so the edges do not become crushed. Fingerprints, scratches, and wrinkles can transfer into the finished design, so handle the foil by its edges whenever possible. Do not place heavy items on partially used rolls. Label each roll with its colour, width, and application type because heat-reactive, pressure-sensitive, and stamping foils are not automatically interchangeable.
