Portability matters when the press moves between rooms, production areas, events, or temporary workstations. Consider the unit weight, handles, footprint, storage position, and whether one person can move it safely. A press described as portable may still be too heavy or awkward for frequent transport. If the machine will remain on one bench most of the time, stability and capacity may matter more than mobility. Plan where wet pads will dry, where compound will be stored, and how paper stacks will reach the press. Moving the press is only one part of the workflow. The full setup must also provide a level surface, clean application area, and enough space to handle aligned stacks without disturbing them.
