Each sheet can hold one discussion, plan, or diagram, then be moved to another wall without erasing earlier work. A dry erase surface is better for information that changes repeatedly in one fixed area, such as schedules, task updates, or daily instructions. Teams that need portable paper-based sessions can use Post-it easel pads for plain, lined, grid, or recycled formats. Consider whether the work should be preserved as physical sheets or cleared for reuse, because that decision usually identifies the more suitable format.

The writing tool affects how easily the surface can be cleaned and how clearly information remains visible. Use markers intended for dry erase use, and test the chosen marker in a small corner before the surface is used widely. Permanent ink, paint markers, and some specialty pens may stain or require cleaning methods that could damage the finish. Keep a suitable eraser and approved cleaning solution nearby so residue does not build up over time. Wipe the surface regularly rather than waiting until marks become difficult to remove. In shared areas, store the correct markers beside the writing space and label them clearly. A simple care routine helps maintain legibility and reduces the risk of someone using an unsuitable pen.

Measure the available wall width and height, then consider the reach of the shortest regular user and the sight line of people seated farther away. The main writing zone should be comfortable to access without stretching over furniture or standing in a doorway. Leave room for headings, diagrams, and several contributors rather than sizing only for one person’s notes. If the project needs a framed board, mobile unit, calendar surface, or another rigid format, the wider selection of boards may be more suitable than adhesive film. Mark the proposed outline with removable tape before installation. This gives the team a realistic view of scale and helps prevent ordering material that feels cramped or oversized.
