Adhesive-coated board is convenient when printed graphics need to be mounted without applying a separate adhesive layer by hand. It can reduce setup time and help create a more even bond across the sheet, provided the graphic is aligned carefully before contact. Adhesive-coated mounting boards may be suitable when pressure-sensitive mounting is part of the normal workflow. The adhesive must match the print material and expected environment. Large graphics can be difficult to reposition once they touch the surface, so a roller, alignment guide, or mounting table may be needed. Uncoated Sintra remains more flexible when several adhesive types or mechanical fastening methods are used.

The suitable cutting method depends on board thickness, sheet size, edge-quality requirements, and production volume. Thinner sheets may be scored and cut with an appropriate hand tool, while thicker material can require a saw, router, or powered substrate cutter. The board must remain fully supported so it does not shift or vibrate during cutting. Use a blade or cutting tool intended for PVC and follow the equipment manufacturer’s guidance for speed and depth. Test an offcut before preparing finished work because excessive heat can affect the edge. Dust and chips should be controlled through suitable extraction and cleanup procedures. Eye protection and other required safety equipment should be used whenever powered tools are involved.

The mounting method affects board thickness, hole placement, edge finishing, adhesive selection, and the amount of support needed behind the display. Lightweight indoor pieces may use tape or adhesive, while larger signs can require screws, stand-offs, frames, or hanging hardware. Mounting adhesive media and accessories can support applications where a separate adhesive layer is preferred. Outdoor or humid settings require added attention to material expansion, fastener spacing, and the suitability of the adhesive. Planning installation after the board has already been printed and cut can lead to visible holes, weak attachment points, or insufficient rigidity.
