A 90 lb tab can work well for many office binders, manuals, and packet sets while still offering a sturdy divider feel. A 110 lb tab is heavier and may be preferred when the tabs will be handled often or need extra body. Heavier stock is not always better if your copier or printer struggles with thicker media. Check the machine’s supported media weight and tray instructions before ordering. Also consider whether you need Mylar coating, reinforced binding edges, or pre-punched holes. The best choice is the strongest tab stock your equipment can feed reliably.

Choose reinforced binding edge copier tabs when the binder will be opened often, passed around, archived, or used in a busy office setting. The reinforced edge helps the punched side hold up better around rings. That matters when the tab set is part of a manual, policy binder, training binder, or reference document. If the binder will be used only once or stored lightly, standard punched tabs may be enough. Reinforced styles are especially helpful when combined with 3-hole punching, since the tabs can go directly into standard binders.
