Formax AP3 Monochrome Inkjet Digital Address Printer with Integrated Feeder

Formax introduces the AP2, AP3, and AP4 for high-speed monochrome digital address printers. The AP line of address printers offers high print speeds, a full color touch screen, durable all metal construction, and the ability to print on a variety of substrates including UV coated media with a print resolution of up to 600 dpi. The 4 1/2 half inch full color touch screen interface provides complete control of printing functions including the ability to store and recall up to 16 gigabytes of print data. The interface also displays real-time ink monitoring, job count, job estimator, a print review and more. AP series printers use thermal inkjet cartridges designed for optimal print quality and adhesion across a variety of substrates. The ink cartridges are available in black, blue, red, and green spot colors the AP2 as a compact easy to use entry level address printer, ideal for simple printing applications such as applying outgoing addresses on pre-printed envelopes. The AP2 features a single repositionable printhead bank with four ink cartridges, and can handle material up to ¼ of an inch thick. It offers a 2 inch total print height, a 10.75 inch maximum vertical print range and can print up to 20,000 envelopes per hour. An integrated feeder holds up to 500 number 10 envelopes that can be loaded on the fly for continuous operation. The AP3 brings address printing to the next level with 2 independent 1 ½ inch print heads and an 11 inch maximum vertical print range the flexibility of independent print heads allows for single pass printing of the outgoing address, return address, and indicia at the same time. A dual traction integrated feeder that holds u to 500 number 10 envelopes enhances the feeding of larger mail pieces with additional feed tires. The AP3 prints up to 26,000 envelopes per hour and accommodates materials up to 3/8 of an inch thick. The AP4 high volume printer is the most versatile of the AP series and is designed for inline use with a variety of existing mailing equipment. This printer can feed materials up to ½ inch thick and can produce up to 26,000 printed envelopes per hour. The AP4 features three independent printhead banks for a total print height of 4 inches and a 12.75 inch maximum vertical print range. The 3 print heads offer the most variations for single pass printing including the application of the outgoing address, return address, indicia, and custom tag line at the same time. The AP4 is also available as the AP4F, which combines the AP4 with the AP12 heavy duty friction feeder to hold up to 500 number 10 envelopes.
