Increasing heat should be done carefully and within the machine and material limits, since excessive temperature can curl paper or damage the foil. A second test using smooth stock and solid toner can help identify whether the issue comes from the artwork, paper, or equipment settings.

Store foil in its original packaging in a dry area away from direct sunlight, high heat, dust, and moisture. Keep the roll edges protected because dents or crushed areas may create wrinkles during feeding. Do not place heavy supplies on top of partially used rolls. Secure the loose end without using adhesive directly on the usable foil surface. Gold and silver materials should be labelled clearly when packaging looks similar.
