Product Description

This James Burn ProCrease-M2.1 (updated version of ProCrease-M2) is a manual channel creasing machine that is designed to prevent cracking in toner based digitally printed graphics. This James Burn ProCrease-M2.1 has a redesigned creasing spacers that are stronger and more durable. This manual creasing machine has an all-metal construction and featured with two paper stops that assure exact position of each crease location on repetitive jobs.

Bad finish

The machine works well. I.e. it makes good crease. But the finish... The machine has three rulers that are supposed to help placing material on the machine's bed. These are adhesive measure tapes attached to the bed. They should be parallel and show you distance from crease. On the machine that I received they are not parallel (they form two trapezoids like a capital K). They are not properly aligned and give you different reading. But moreover, none of them gives you precise distance from the crease, not from the center of it, not from the edge. Also it seems like the tapes were cut after attaching to bed and since the bed has rounded edges, tape ends hung in the air. Not a good finish for $300 piece of equipment. This is why 3 stars.

Works pretty well!

So far so good, works pretty well.

Decent, but keep spare parts on hand

For the price, this is a great little machine. My only complaint - the two plastic pieces that get pressed down by the handle break on a regular basis. We've learned to keep a few spares on hand, and it's frustrating to always have to tear the machine apart to replace them. But, for the price I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.
