This thickness of films provide better handling and UV protection than 3 mil film, all the while protecting your materials from long-term exposure to water, wind, and sun. With it's slight sturdiness (compared to 3mil), it is resistant to crinkling, folding, and bending. So if you need more of a lightweight but substantial protection, then 5mil pouches are perfect for you!
