Pouch Laminators

Match the laminator's maximum width to your largest document. Standard letter-size laminators accommodate up to 9 inches wide, which covers most office documents, menus, and signs. For larger materials like posters or oversized menus, you need a wider laminator or should consider a roll laminator instead.

High-speed commercial pouch laminators are built for businesses producing dozens or hundreds of laminated pieces per day, with shorter warm-up times and faster feed speeds than standard office models. These are common in ID card production, school administration offices, and commercial print shops.

Jams typically occur from feeding a pouch at an angle, using a pouch that is too thick for the laminator's rated mil capacity, or feeding before the machine has fully warmed up. Always center your document in the pouch, confirm the laminator supports your pouch thickness, and wait for the ready indicator before feeding.

Pouch laminating uses individual pre-cut pouches fed one at a time through heated rollers, while cartridge laminating uses a continuous roll of film loaded into a sealed cartridge that feeds automatically without exposing the adhesive layer. Cartridge systems are generally faster and cleaner for high-volume runs but cost more upfront.
