Dahle 40606 Department Level P-2 Strip Cut Paper Shredder is a high volume shredder featuring a massive 45 gallon waste bin for longer shredding and less frequent bag changes. Welcome to MyBinding video. This is the Dahle 40606 Level P-2 Department Shredder!

Turning it on puts it in standby mode to automatically start and stop shredding up to an impressive 32 pages.

If you hold the forward button for a few seconds it will go into continuous feeding mode.

So now feed stack after stack until you're finished.

The opening is 16 inches wide, which will fit most any page in any orientation.

If you need to ever stop shredding like if you catch your hair or tie yikes hold the reverse button and pull everything out.

And you don't have to worry about staples and paper clips, it'll shred those too.

It is the lowest of all the security levels, but it still renders your documents unreadable.

Opening the bin we see a spot to store a bottle of oil.

And pulling out the bag and replacing it is simple. Just wrap the bag around the square bar, then slip it into place.

Place the black tray in the center to catch CD trimmings. Insert your CD and press the forward button. CDs are not recyclable, that why it's good to separate them.

When you find a good spot to put your shredder, lock the wheels so it stays there.

The automatic power features put it in sleep mode after 10 minutes of inactivity and shuts it off after 30.

Every once in a while pour oil onto a few of your pages before shredding to keep the machine in pristine shape!

Here are its strengths and weaknesses:

Strengths:

The 40606 can shred up to 40 sheets at a time so you can get rid of your documents in a flash. The feed opening is 16" wide so you can easily get rid of wide-format paper.
This shredder is a great choice if you want to be able to shred non-paper items. This machine can shred credit/debit cards, CD's, and DVD's. It can also shred documents that still have paper clips or staples attached to them. This will help you save time during a busy day.
