The entire binding process of roughening, gluing, and nipping are automated for precision, consistency, ease, and user comfort. Fastbind Pureva Smart sets the optimal pressure, speed, and number of cycles for each book according to format, thickness, and cover type. The machine can bind soft or hard cover books up to A3 portrait size. A patented interchangeable glue tank system allows the use of different types of bookbinding hotmelt glues, especially polyuréthane (PUR) and ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) adhesives. The machine automatically determines the optimal set-up for each glue type and bound material for the best possible binding quality. Quick auto-cleaning is made possible with the clever system. It only takes a few minutes to empty and clean its PUR glue tank with the Cleaning function. Cleaning can be done even by non-expert users.
