The Fellowes Powershred 2339S Strip Cut Paper Shredder is a moderate-duty unit which is perfect for use in mid-sized offices and departments with about six to 10 users. It shreds 24 to 26 sheets in a single pass into 6-mm strips. It is equipped with a continuous duty motor, which permits non-stop shredding into the large capacity 53-gallon bin, which is easily accessible behind this cabinet door. It’s equipped with a 15 ¾-inch entry width which allows the insertion of large sized documents and reports but also permits letter- and legal-sized documents to be inserted sideways which speeds up the shredding process by about 25%. It’s also equipped with a safety protection system, which will shut the machine off automatically if anything other than paper is inserted into the throat. This unit is also equipped with an energy saving mode which will turn the machine off after one hour of inactivity. Again, the 2339S from Fellowes, the world’s toughest shredders.
