The Shredmaster GSX127 shreds documents into cross-cut pieces that are 1/6" x 1-3/4" for a level 3 security level. It can shred up to 12 sheets of paper at a time and shreds documents at speeds of 7 feet per minute. The GSX127 offers extra-intelligent Jam Free technology. The shredder opening illuminates RED to warn when there is too much paper inserted. Simply remove paper to continue shredding. No time wasted, no mess made. This small, personal shredder is ideal for low volume use by one to four people. It offers GBC’s Jam Free technology as well as automatic features for smooth, stress-free use. Here is a closer look at the strengths and weaknesses of this machine
Strengths:
- Sitting just under two feet tall, this device could sit under a desk or table for storage while still being readily accessible. And its lightweight design allows easy movement for shared use.
- After the power is turned on, the blades are activated by the insertion of items into the feed opening. The cutting shafts start and stop automatically for on-demand use without excessive wear and tear on the cylinders. After two minutes of inactivity, the machine powers down to save energy. Operational status is shown on a lit display.
- Jam Free technology works to prevent paper jams. If items are overfed, the throat glows red as a warning.
