Designed for moderate usage environments needing medium security, the GSX168 provides swift document disposal and non-stop Jam Free technology. And since it runs about ten decibels quieter than its competition, you won’t be disrupted every time someone shreds. Let’s take a closer look.
Strengths:
- Use of this machine is controlled by an automatic on and off, allowing one handed use. After a two minute period of inactivity, the motor powers down to an energy conserving power save mode. Backlit icons keep the user constantly aware of the shredder’s status.
- Jam Free technology works to prevent jams before they happen. A deep, funnel shaped throat is designed to accurately feed even oversized items and disorganized stacks. If the machine detects too much paper in the feed, the user is alerted. Once the excess items are removed, you can continue shredding as usual. In the rare case a jam occurs, power is cut to the blades, giving you to opportunity to quickly clear the overfed items.
