Welcome to MyBinding video. This is a demonstration video of the GBC P110, a manual ProClick binding machine. Designed for the small office, the ProClick P110 binding system is a great little machine. Let’s watch it in action step-by-step.
Set the punch tray according to letter size or oversize documents. Starting with the covers, place them into the throat of the machine, align it, and punch down with the lever. Continue to punch the rest of the pages of your entire project. All set, you’re ready for the binding stage.
Following the diagram on the front of the machine, place the ProClick spine over the nibs on the top of the machine. The process takes a little getting used to; make sure that the spine is completely under each of the metal nibs. Before you thread your book on the spine, place the back page over the on front so the back of the back faces the front of the front. This will hide the seam of the spine within the book in the finished product. Thread the book over the teeth of the spine. Now it’s time to close the spine with a click. By gripping and squeezing the narrow end of the spine closer, run it along the spine and all the teeth will close. Sometimes this is much easier done just on a flat surface, like a table. Repeat if necessary, and your book is complete. And the seam of your spine is hidden between the back page and the back cover.
Editing a finished book with a ProClick spine is very easy. Let’s say at the last minute you need to add a page. Punch holes into the page or pages that you’ll be adding to your book. The little plastic hand spine closer is also the spine opener. Simply insert the triangular end into the ProClick spine and run it straight down. It will open up. You then can remove the back cover, remove the spine, place the new pages into the book, reassemble, and repeat the closing process.
And that’s it. It really is that simple with the GBC ProClick P110. And for more demos and reviews of this product and many more, check out MyBinding.com.
