The Intimus 45CP4 cross cut shredder is a convenient multi functional shredder suitable for a small office environment with two to four users. Featuring a Dynamic Load Sensor, it will alert the user if too much paper is about to be inserted. However if a jam does occur, it is easily dislodged thanks to the integrated auto reverse function. In addition to paper, the 45CP4 destroys staples, paper clips, credit cards, floppy disks, and CDs/DVDs, separating paper from media into individual waste bins for easier recycling. The Intimus 45CP4 also offers the i-control function control for ease of workflow, Silentec innovative sound dampening principle, and EcoLogic for greater energy efficiency. Formerly called the Intimus 45CC3, this model name update was to ensure product names accurately reflect the security level of DIN 66399. This is strictly a model number update, there have been no machine changes to the original model.

If you are looking for a paper shredder, you should check out machines made by Intimus. This company consistently puts out some of the best shredders on the market and they have already released a number of new machines in 2012. One of them is the 45CC3, which is a great choice for office use. Check out this machine's strengths and weaknesses:

Strengths:

The 45CC3 is a cross-cut shredder that has a level 3 security rating. When you shred something with this device, it will be turned in particles that measure 5/32" x 1-13/32". This will enable you to protect a variety of information such as bank account numbers, proprietary documents, and so on.
This shredder has a 10.25-inch feed opening for paper documents. You will be able to shred small documents (receipts, business cards) in addition to larger ones, even if they're printed on legal-sized paper. The machine has a top shredding capacity of 18 sheets, which is terrific for a cross-cut shredder.
The 45CC3 will easily take care of stapled documents as those that have paper clips attached to them. The shredder can also destroy floppy disks, DVD's, CD's, and credit cards for a total shredding solution. The device even has a 2 x 2 system so that the paper shreds will go in one bin and the plastic bits will go in the other.
This device has a Dynamic Load Sensor to help you shred just the right amount of sheets and thus, avoid a paper jam. (If the shredder does jam up, the auto reverse mode will come in handy.) Since this device has a 12-gallon waste bin, it's not really a good choice for departmental use. However, you should be able to share it with a couple of co-workers with no problem.
The 18-sheet shredding capacity will be problematic for some users. However, most cross-cut shredders have relatively low shredding capacities compared to their strip-cut counterparts.
