One of the best features about wire binding is that it allows your document to lay flat when it is open and you can also turn the covers and pages around a full 360 degrees. But to take advantage of this style, you need the right machine. One option is the James Burns PB31SP Manual 3:1 Pitch Wire Binding Machine. This is a device that just came on the market and there are some great things about it. Here are the strengths and weaknesses of the PB31SP.
Strengths:
- The PB31SP can work with both Wire-O and Double-O binding spines. It can close spines ranging in thickness from 1/4″ to 1-1/4″ inches. This is the whole range of sizes for these spines, so this product is really versatile.
- The punching mechanism of this device can punch 10 sheets of paper in one lift. It can bind documents that are up a half inch thick with wire binding spines that are up to 9/16″ in diameter.
