With a little practice and patience, it's great !

For the price, it's awesome. Can cut circles between 1/2" and 6". For anything thicker than paper, you have to cut progressively deeper with several passes. Just take your time. I was able to use this tool to cut gaskets out of 3/32" thick cork-rubber gasket material. Picture is attached. Just use a gentle, skillful hand with patience, and you should be happy with the results. As with many tools, much depends on the skill of the user. If you are not confident initially, try practicing on a few pieces of scrap material until you get the hang of it.

Great for cutting a rubber gasket

I used this to cut a 4--1/4 inch diameter (2-1/8 inch radius) gasket out of 1/16 inch rubber. It worked a lot better than I had anticipated, prompting me to write this review. I used push pins (thumb tacks) on the four corners of the rubber sheet to keep that steady while I was cutting. I made a hole in the center and through the wood I was working on using one of the push pins so that I could anchor as much as possible the spike end of the compass.

Works very well!

I purchased this circle cutter to make circular notes that would fit in a jar. It took me several hours, but I cut nearly 200 circles. There are 5 extra blades, but I haven't needed to switch blades yet. I also appreciated the black foam disk, which prevents the pivot spike from piercing paper. Overall, I think this works very well.
