In order to effectively cut sheet plastics and laminates, you first must score them. That is where this OLFA PC-L Plastic / Laminate Cutter comes in handy. The OLFA PC-L is use to score the material so you are assured a clean break. This OLFA PC-L Plastic / Laminate Cutter is ideal on plastics, lighted ceiling tiles, laminates and plexiglass.

Bar none, the best laminate scorer ever. I've been in the cabinet business for over 20 plus years and have laminated numerous projects. Great way to cut plastic laminate down to size. The great thing about it is that the blades will slide into the unit and not exposed. The included blade is two sided and when it gets dull, simply use a honing stone to re-sharpen. Great product at a decent price. Highly recommend.

Worked…

It is simple, cheap and most of all it worked. Had to watch a Youtube video on how to use it since I had never cut acrylic before but once I knew what to do it was only like a minute before I was able to cut a 12"x12" .25" thick piece into three sections. Highly recommend it for those that just need a tool around for small acrylic mod jobs.

Simple, inexpensive, and durable

It works well to cut acrylic plates. First, find a place where nobody complains squeaking noise. Mark a line on an acrylic plate with a pen and a ruler. Score multiple times along the marked line (and the ruler) with the scorer. Then break the plate by bending along the line (if it doesn't break, score some more). That's it. This is exactly what I wanted. A 12x12 0.125 inch acrylic plate can be cut in to two pieces within a minute in this way. Cuts are clean. Retractable blade adds a safety.
