I had to have it after using it at work.

Easy to use. Won't make your hand sore from pounding on the stapler. I used one at work and had to have it for home use also. For up to 20 sheets (most of what I staple) it is a dream. It seems like a simple concept, press down on the spring loaded "hammer", the spring is released and the "hammer" forces the staple through the paper. You can staple with one smooth press, no jarring to your hand, your hand is decoupled from the actual hitting of the staple. Wow, whoever thought this up was genius.

Five stars only for operation, not for loading staples

Well, it works great, five stars, once you figure out how to load the staples. Zero stars for instructions on loading. No instructions except some diagrams on the bottom which are just clues, really, not instructions. It was a puzzle to play with, but I finally figured it out. Once you know how, it's simple and easy. The bottom part (or bed) of the stapler has to slide back. Turn the stapler upside down, push up on the front lip of the bed, and it slides back. Then load the staples into the slot with the points pointing upward. Then slide the bed shut until it clicks. Ready to go. If you look on the other side of the bed when it is slid back, you will see a rail and you might think you should lay the staples on it, the way a regular stapler works, but that's not right. Once you know the procedure, its no harder than a regular stapler, slide, load, close. Its just that everything is upside down from a regular stapler. Five stars for operation, no technique or muscle needed for going thru a lot of sheets, just push, and click, its done.

Works perfect but cheap plastic.

The middle portion is metal but the top and bottom is a cheap plastic that seems will scratch easy. But nonetheless, it does the job and does it well. The hammer doesnt slam the staple till its pushed all the way down. I initially thought it went down as you press down, you can press down 3/4 way and it wont do anything. Just thought I'd share. Still a very cool stapler.
