An Introduction To What Staples You Should Buy Overview
Transcript :
This is an introduction to what staples you should buy. Iš™ll go over how to search for it, and other information you might not know about staples.
First off, manyš”if not mostš”staplers are labeled with what staple type it uses. This is often found inside, where the staples are loaded in.
If itš™s not labeled, then check product page of the stapler and staplesš”staples especially are labeled with compatible staplers if they are custom. You can also check the box your stapler came in.
Most desktop staplers will use either premium or standard staples. Unless labeled otherwise, these are a 1/4š length. And they come in different sized strips, most commonly with 210 staples.
You may also find staples labeled with a fraction. This number is wire gauge(or thickness), and the length length in millimeters.
For the gauge, the larger the number, the thinner the wire is. So if you see a 26/6 staple, this is a standard sized 1/4š staple. A 26/8 staple is a standard 5/16š staple.
Now, each staple supports a different amount of pagesš”do remember that your stapler will determine the limit because it will only support certain size of staples.
Some staples use custom staples, like cartridges. In this case, custom staples are usually well labeled with what stapler they are used in.
If, when you staple, two staples come out at the same time. This probably means you need heavy duty staples. The gauge on these are thicker than standard staples.
If your staples are only getting stuck, then you might need a thinner gauge of staple. Or more commonly, you might need to buy a new stapler.
These are great staples. Sturdy and sharp! They work as described, for anything from two to fifty sheets of paper. However, I think STANDARD staples would be better for 2-4 sheets of regular paper, as these high-capacity staples are really designed for thicker jobs. With only a few papers, the folded ends of the staple are a bit high, but it's not a big deal...they still work.

good staples for most jobs
good staples for most jobs........ BUT! dont let anyone try to tell you the 5/16"" and the 26/8+ staple are the same thing. They are not. These will not quite crimp over on 50 pages. The 26/8 staple measures 8.5mm which is 0.33464567"" . clearly 1/3rd inch is longer than 5/16 inch Might not sound like a big deal, until you get a project that requires lots of stapling of 45-50 pages and each time you staple you have to turn it over and hammer the staple over. Plus it does not hold as well being just a little too short

Performed to expectations
These are a must for stapling layers of ribbons onto the cardboard backing of a homecoming mum (Texas thing-pinterest it!). Hot glue will work if you like burning your fingers or removing webs of glue from everything. No, thanks! I prefer staples so that it's easily removable if I want to change up the layout. You can't do that with hot glue. I digress.. regular staples will only work if you're stapling thin layers, but I used this staple along with a plier stapler to staple fairy led wire string enclosed in deco mesh tubing. The staples held the tube in place without damaging the led wires. I only had a couple of staples that stapled wonky, but overall, they worked great. If you mess up or change your mind, a regular staple puller will work. I don't have a picture of the staple, but I do have a picture of the mum where I used these staples to hold practically everything in place onto the base...and I used lots of staples. I couldn't use much hot glue since the heat would have disintegrated the mesh ribbon.
