Welcome to MyBinding video. These are Compact Fashion Staplers by Swingline. They come in green, pink and blue, both solid colors and a nice leaf pattern. To add staples, hold the base and lift on the top of the stapler until it stays open. Then place in a half strip of standard or premium staples. The bottom has two small rubber pads. The stapler does open up more by pulling apart the base and the metal shaft, but it doesnš™t open enough to staple straight on to a wall or other flat surface. Great little stapler if handled with care

This stapler is great; it fits my hands and is easy to use. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of two minor things: First, I dropped this stapler on the floor (from height of kitchen table onto bamboo flooring) and while it looks fine, now it no longer staples properly (see pic). The action feels too loose on the first part of the stapling, and the staples no longer are pressed tightly, so the pages are no longer firmly attached, but only loosely. This was my fault for dropping the stapler. If I get another one I'll be sure to be more careful knowing that it is not very durable. Secondly, the staples are bent very flatly, and I sometimes worry that the tips of the folded ends might catch on something. I have had staplers where the ends are bent in at a somewhat curved shape, so that you feel only the rounded sides, somewhat like the letter "B", where the pointy ends are folded inward. This is a personal preference and I don't know if the curve limits the max number of pages that might be properly stapled.

Really effective, easy-to-use, high-capacity stapler!

I'm such a nerd that I get super excited about office supplies. At work, I used to use binder clips for larger stacks of papers, but found them more cumbersome to deal with (not to mention keep track of) than traditional staples. The Swingline Optima 40 is a great, compact, high-capacity stapler that still uses standard staples- which is great because at first, I was worried that I would have to find specialized staples to use this. It's worked great for everything I need, and I've successfully stapled up to 44 sheets without a problem. It also requires minimal effort to use- I don't have to be He-Man in order to stapled though a huge stack of papers.

Best Stapler I've Ever Had - Coming from an Accoutant who staples A LOT

I bought this stapler for work as I work in accounting and handle a ton of paperwork. It is lightweight and can be stapled while sitting down or by lifting and stapling. I have been using it for several months (1000s of staples) and have not had one name yet. I liked it so much I purchased another for home. One reviewer mentioned they saw this one in store and it was too bulky to staple. I believe he may have been referring to the full size version as this was a mini. I have stapled hundreds on invoices at one time and not felt any discomfort in my hand or wrist. I would DEFF recommend for anyone.
