Great - easy to use !

This hole punch is fantastic! If you need to punch large quantities of paper, this is your best choice. This need no electricity, so you can take it anywhere without worrying about a cord. Great leverage, very little force needed to punch 20- 30 pages. Only minor downside - this is not adjustable, so you can only use it for the standard-space three holes. I highly recommend this this, it is well worth the price.

After being frustrated with too many garbage punchers I decided we would get our own

This hole punch would have gotten a 5 star if it wasn't for the tray that catches the punches. The tray needs to lock in more securely so we can put it in or drawer without the tray slipping. I purchased it for the office since we have to punch a lot of paperwork on the shift I work to keep the other shifts running smoothly. After being frustrated with too many garbage punchers I decided we would get our own. Now it's being taken out of our private drawer and is being used by other shifts since everyone knows it will work perfectly every time. It's great for punching through reinforced plastic strips, never sticks, and easily punches through different paper weights. Recently a float person suggested we recommend this hole punch to or administrator for all the floors. So the hole punch probably deserves a 5, it's just that we can't hide it well enough without leaving a trail of dots.

Surprised at the performance for the price!

When I ordered this, I was concerned that this product might not measure up because of the lower price compared to other 40+ page, highly rated hole punches, but decided to save the money and ordered the Swingline over the Bostitch and the Carl models that I looked at. Today, it was used to prepare a number of appliance and tool owner's manuals for a 3 ring binder, including a 45 sheet (90 page) manual. It cut the holes with little effort, so I am pleased with the product. The owner's manual wasn't on very heavy paper. The booklet barely fit in the paper guide, but easily cut the holes all the way through with only a hint of a ragged hole on the bottom. Using regular printer paper, this will probably be 35 to 40 sheets. I also cut another manual of 20 sheets, and it cut like soft butter, and clean as could be. I hope this helps if you're comparing to pricier 40 page models.
