Often as part of an initial sizing procedure, panel saws are used to cut huge sheet materials into smaller rectangular portions and pieces. They are crafted of a circular saw, an upright framework for holding the workpiece, and a track on which the saw moves. With a panel saw, the operator moves the circular saw across the workpiece while the workpiece is fixed in place, in contrast to a table saw where the workpiece is moved past the cutting blade.

This Safety Speed C4 Compact 50" Vertical Panel Saw is designed for users who have limited floor space or need to move the saw to a work site. The C4 Vertical Panel Saw packs the features that full-size saws have into a portable 5' frame. This panel saw has a 50' maximum crosscut, 96" maximum rip cut, and can cut up to 1-3/4" thick of materials. This Safety Speed C4 Compact Vertical Panel Saw is ideal for cutting 4' x 8' or 50" wide sheets of material. If you think that you need a bigger crosscut, the Safety Speed C5 is the next step up and has a 64” maximum crosscut.
