Frequently, vertical panel saws are used to cut large sheet materials into more manageable rectangular parts and pieces as part of an initial sizing step. They are made from a circular saw, a sturdy structure for holding the workpiece, and a track that the saw travels on. In contrast to a table saw, where the workpiece is moved past the cutting blade, a panel saw uses a circular saw to cut across the workpiece while it is set in place.

The C5 Vertical Panel Saw is a portable 5’ frame that has all the functionality of full-size saws. This panel saw can cut materials up to 1-3/4 inches thick and has a maximum crosscut and rip cut of 64" and 96", respectively. Cutting sheets of material that are 64 inches wide is perfect for our Safety Speed C5 Compact Vertical Panel Saw. The Safety Speed C4, which has a maximum crosscut of 50 inches, is the "little brother" if you feel like you need a smaller crosscut.
Vertical panel saws are constructed with many safety features that minimize the possibility of operator error because they were developed with safety in mind. Cutting panels of MDF, sheet wood, or other material is one of the simplest and safest tasks that can be accomplished using a vertical panel saw or wall saw. Larger sheets of material may be handled by the machine because of its vertical tilt.
