Good Quality Product

I originally had a Swingline heavy-duty stapler, but it took one fall onto a carpeted floor, and from that moment on, the staples wouldn't come through the feeder. I went shopping for another on Amazon and found this one. I bought it because it looked like it might be a little smaller, and I use it at my desk. The item has proven to be a good-quality product that staples well. I use 1/2" staples in it, and it seems to handle different sized stacks of papers pretty well. I use the stapler a couple times a day. For this type of use, where you want a stapler with a small footprint, I highly recommend it. I wouldn't buy it if I needed it for a workroom where I stapled 100 different stacks of papers at a time. Because of it's smaller footprint, when you push down on it, the back end lifts up a little. So you can't get quite the leverage or comfort you could with a bigger stapler. Also, it hasn't jammed yet, but the instructions for clearing a jam are to staple into a wooden pencil. There is no way to open the front end. I'm not sure how that will work when I need to clear a jam.

Great Stapler for a Great Price

We needed a stapler capable of doing 40 to 60 pieces of paper. Our need is occasional and wanted something that would hold up but didn't want to spend a fortune. We read a lot of reviews on a lot of heavy duty staplers. We were almost afraid to order any of them do to the mixed reviews. Then, we saw this one and thought "well for under $20 it's worth a shot". Can't tell you how happy we are that we did!!! Seems well constructed and simple. No whistles or bells to break. It may not be for a copy room or a book printer, but, for a small home business like ours, it is perfect.

Homeschool mom approved

This year I made all my own workbooks for my six kid’s homeschool year. This stapler handled the huge stacks of paper like it was nothing! How have I been homeschooling for 14 years without this thing? It my new favorite school tool!
