Welcome to MyBinding video. Let's have a look at the Tamerica V3000 Pro, a securebind binding system. Compatible with VeloBind-style bindings and hot knife production, the V3000 is a great machine for excellent binding. Let's watch it in action step-by-step. Coming in two parts, there's the puncher as well as the binder. You put them together or use them separately. First you want to set your side margin control so that all punches throughout your project are consistent. Start with scrap paper, set it, punch it. The two-handed punch system allows you to punch landscape and portrait. And if all looks great, continue on with your covers and the rest of your project, punching holes through your entire book. When the punching is all set, organize your book in order; it's time to bind. You can remove or leave the puncher in place. With an 11-pin VeloBind-style bind, place it pins face up, either in the groove or on the table. Then, thread your project faced down over all the pins. Next, take the back or the second side of the bind and place it over all the pins as well, making sure the texture side is facing out. Flip the project over and place it pins down into the hot knife part of the machine. Take the bar, push it down over the springs, right onto the bind to clamp it down. Place the top lever down but don't force it. Just lay it there, the machine will bring it down slowly, heat the pins, and cut them with the knife. You can keep an eye on the light displays on the right hand side of the machine to know when it's done. Release the bar with the two black buttons and they spring up and you can remove your book. Pull off any dangling pins that may be there. Your project is all done, totally sealed front and back and it looks great. There it is, that's the Tamerica V3000 Pro.
