Each 19 ring plastic binding comb is made of rigid PVC plastic. They won't scratch, chip, peel, or discolor.

These are actually packaged at the manufacturer and we do not have smaller packs. We do apologize.

Thank you for your question. A 2" spiral coil is designed to work with up to 1 13/16" of document thickness. If your cookbook gets any bigger it would be a tight squeeze.
