Welcome to another MyBinding.com how to video. This video demonstrates how to change or replace a blade on the Akiles Diamond 7 Corner Rounder Machine. After you turned off and unplug the machine, you’ll find that there’s a toolbox at the base of the diamond 7. This toolbox contains all kinds of tools as well as other supplies that you use in the corner rounding process. You’ll find a bag of tools with lots of different labeled screw drivers and wrenches. With the white knob on top, you can remove the front cover plate. It sets in and lifts up and out of the holes right on the front. The blade sets inside and you need two screws, hex screws to be undone to remove that blade. Select the right blue handle tool; you can undo both of those screws. Pull them all the way out and then gently, very carefully remove the blade. Here, I used the hex tool itself to kind of balance it as I pull it out. It’s extremely sharp so use great caution. This is a good time to replace the bottom blade pad as well and you’ll find an entire pack of replacements there in the toolbox. There is a manual inside the toolbox and a tool for every size screw. Again, use great caution when holding and handling these blades. Even when they’re dull, they’re extremely sharp. Tighten the screws all the way in. Using the white knob on the top, you can secure the front plate on so it’s all working. There you go, that’s how to change the blade on a Diamond 7 by Akiles.
