Single ply paper works when only one printed record is required, such as reports, logs, lists, statements, or internal data output. It usually feeds more easily than a multipart form and creates less storage bulk. It is not the right choice when the same transaction must produce several simultaneous copies for customers, accounting, shipping, or filing. Paper weight also matters. Lighter stock can reduce case weight and suit high volume output, while heavier stock may provide a firmer finished form. Confirm that the printer, cutter, burster, or handling equipment accepts the chosen weight. Consider how long the printout will be stored and whether the sheets will be separated at the perforations. The correct format should support the complete record process rather than only the printing step.
