Color does not change the hanging function, but it affects the finished presentation. Calendar hangers need a wire-bound top edge with enough room for the hanger to sit inside the wire loop. The punch position, wire size, hanger length, and finished calendar width should be tested together before the full run. If the wire is too tight, the pages may not turn smoothly. If the hanger is too short or off-center, the calendar can lean on the wall. If the wire is closed unevenly, pages may catch during rotation. If your calendar sizes change often, avoid overstocking one length until a standard format is approved. Make one complete sample before producing the batch. Hang it on a wall, turn several pages, and check whether the hanger stays centered. That test can catch alignment, wire size, or length problems before the remaining calendars are bound.

A calendar may hang crooked when the hanger length is wrong, the hanger is not centered, the wire is closed unevenly, or the punch pattern sits too far from the intended top edge.
