White foam board is versatile for printing, drawing, painting, and mounting light-colored artwork. Keep fingers away from the cutting path and hold the straightedge securely. A suitable cutting mat protects the work surface while helping the blade move consistently. The adhesive should suit both the foam board and the material being attached. Some solvent-based adhesives can damage exposed foam, so confirm compatibility before applying them across the whole project. Double-sided adhesive, glue dots, pressure-sensitive film, or foam-safe liquid adhesive may work depending on the weight and size of the item. Apply adhesive evenly to prevent bubbles or raised areas. For photographs and printed artwork, choose an adhesive that will not stain, wrinkle, or show through. Test a small sample first and allow it to cure fully before judging the bond. Large mounted pieces may need wider adhesive coverage than small decorative elements.

Adhesive-coated foam board is useful when you want an even mounting surface without applying separate glue by hand. It can reduce mess and help photographs, signs, prints, and craft materials lie smoothly. Alignment is important because some adhesives grip quickly and allow little repositioning.
