Measure doorways and access routes before delivery because longer units may be difficult to move into a confined production area. Storage for blades and cutting tools should remain nearby but outside the active cutting zone. Good lighting also helps with alignment and printed crop marks. The final position should allow routine cleaning, blade replacement, and safe movement around the equipment without requiring the cutter to be shifted for every job.

Keep the rail, cutting head, work surface, and blade area free from dust, adhesive residue, fibers, and small material fragments. Confirm that the substrate is square against the intended reference point and fully supported before each cut. For repeat dimensions, mark or secure a consistent stop rather than measuring every piece from the opposite edge. Replace dull tools promptly, since additional cutting pressure can cause drift and rough edges.
